Know which files are source and which files are outputs.
Edit the Slidev project, then regenerate offline and static outputs. Do not patch a derived file as if it were the authoring source.
The project folder is the editable source of truth
A preview, chat response, screenshot, PDF, PPTX, offline file, or hosted build does not replace the project files used to author the deck.
The Agent should report the absolute project path and use the scripts defined by that project. When resuming work, open the same folder and inspect the current source before making changes.
Generated files should be reproducible from the current source. If an output is older than the project, rebuild it instead of editing the output directly.
- Keep source material separate from generated outputs.
- Keep the original PowerPoint or other supplied files unchanged.
- Use version control or another recoverable history when available.
- Treat each export as a delivery copy of one source state.

A project may add more files, but these paths describe the main authoring responsibilities.

Generated outputs are replaceable delivery copies
Regenerate these outputs after relevant changes and keep them out of the editing path.

Continue an existing project safely
Inspect first, make a bounded change, then rebuild only from the current editable source.
Confirm the project path
Check that slides.md and package.json belong to the deck you intend to change.
Inspect existing conventions
Read the current theme, components, styles, assets, scripts, and instructions before adding or replacing slides.
Protect unrelated work
Do not delete, restore, overwrite, or reformat files whose purpose is outside the requested change.
Rebuild the current state
After the change, regenerate offline.html and every affected export from the current source project.
